Event Managing Assistant

The Event Managing Assistant will recruit, plan, and efficiently manage and execute event bookings at The Gathering Starkville. The Event Manager seeks to reflect a servant hearted, hospitable service and dedicated excellence to those inquiring and renting the event space. The Event Managing Assistant will work with the Owner to oversee various managerial responsibilities including, but not limited to:

-Respond in a timely manner to rental inquiries (48 hrs or less) made via online platforms.
-Recruit and market through social media platforms
-Manage the booking process through online booking software from initial inquiry through completion
-Be the first point of contact for current bookings during the planning and execution stage
-Be “on call” for event needs and/ensure someone is in town in case of emergencies
-Offer and provide tours to interested parties
-Steward the resources and supplies of the event space and kitchen, making purchases as needed
-Schedule cleanings and coordinate with the cleaning company to ensure efficient completion
-Manage the set up of events, including tables and chairs, layout requests, door code creation, and final instructions to booking contacts, etc.
-Offer additional planning assistance as needed
-Provide inspections post event to ensure no damage deposit is needed
-Communicate any repairs or maintenance needs to the owner
-Meet monthly with Owner for planning and management cohesion
